HEPWORTH MUSEUM

Dame Barbara Hepworth spent much of her working life at Trewyn Studio . The ground floor has an exhibition of photographs and other memorabilia telling the story of her life. The first floor studio includes many of her sculpture, drawings and paintings. For many thousands of visitors their most enduring memory will be of her secluded garden where, during her last twenty years, she placed major sculptures among the trees, shrubs and sub-tropical plants. LEACH POTTERY

After studying pottery in Japan, the internationally-known potter Bernard Leach came to St Ives in 1920 and, with the assistance of Shoji Hamada, started the Leach Pottery.  In March 2008, new life was given to the Leach Pottery with a £1.7 million project which enabled it to set up in production once more and open it doors to the public with expanded award winning showrooms. www.leachpottery.com
